Oil Tanks
A heating oil tank is a storage container in which heating oil is stored for home or building heating purposes with a furnace, boiler, or other oil-fired system. Heating oil tanks are usually located in the basement of the property and are essential for ensuring a reliable source of heat, especially through colder temperatures. Heating oil tanks come in several sizes, ranging from 275 – 2,000 gallons, depending on the purpose of the tank.
Heating oil tanks should be replaced every 15 – 25 years although they may be able to last longer if properly cared for and maintained. If your tank has visible signs of corrosion, has needed repairs from leaks, or has reached its lifespan, consider installing a new heating oil tank on your property for better protection and greater peace of mind.
